The JASDF Aggressor squadron was made up for the purpose of investigation, study, and education of the aerial combat skill in December in 1981. The top-class pilots were elected from all the JASDF fighter jets squadrons, and they're assigned to the post. At first, they were using the higher training aircraft of Mitsubishi T-2, but since 1990, F-15J/DJ was deployed as the fighter trainer

It was developed for the United States Air Force, and first flew in July 1972. The F-15E Strike Eagle derivative is an all-weather strike fighter that entered service in 1989.
